Anyway I was reading an interesting article about how the recent bankruptcy law (not really so new anymore) hasn't helped anyone except for the credit card companies and has hurt a lot of poor people, middle class, and small business owners (who often are personally liable for the debt when their small business fails). Supposedly this law was supposed to result in lower interest rates and fees, but I think most would agree that hasn't happened. The article peeked my interest and I found a list of who voted for and against the law.
Now I remember this was brought up at an earlier debate, but I just think that this guy is a phony. He talks so much about the poor and he votes for a law which makes it so expensive to declare bankruptcy that many poor people can't afford to declare bankruptcy. What bullshit. Hillary didn't even bother to vote but at least she doesn't run around crying about the poor all the time. Obama wasn't even in the senate at the time... By the way, as much as I don't agree with the law, it's the hypocrisy that drives me nuts. It's in complete contrast of what he claims to stand for. I don't begrudge Ron Paul for his vote since it is aligned with what he stands for. Oh well.
Here's another blog by some guy I never heard of named Brad Warthen who came to the same conclusion that John Edwards is a phony based on personal experience and anecdotal evidence.
